About us

Our story, and why we exist.

Universal Myopia Cure began with a simple wish: that no one should face myopia feeling uninformed or alone.

An illustration of a connected, supportive community

Our story

Universal Myopia Cure began because [add the founder's reason in one or two sentences: a personal experience with myopia, a moment that revealed how alone families can feel, or the wish to create the resource you wished you had had]. What started as a simple desire to help has grown into a community and a mission.

Today we are a place to learn, to connect, and to give, all in service of the people myopia touches and the future we are working toward.

Why myopia awareness matters

Myopia is more than blurry distance vision. When it is not understood or managed early, it can affect a child's learning, confidence, and daily life, and higher levels of myopia carry greater long-term eye-health risks. The encouraging news is that awareness, early eye exams, and good support make a real difference. That is why we exist, and it is why we believe the work toward a cure matters so much.
